My name is Brett Samuels and I am a reporter at The Hill in Washington, D.C., where I cover the White House. I cover breaking news, trends and day-to-day happenings in the Trump administration.

Before joining The Hill, I was a city reporter in Schenectady, New York. Prior to that, I attended Syracuse University, where worked at The Daily Orange, the independent student newspaper of Syracuse, New York.

In February 2016, I spent a week in New Hampshire covering Jeb Bush's presidential campaign for The Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

I previously interned for The Buffalo News, working mainly on the business desk and occasionally writing general assignment stories.
